本导览的站点(10)

  1. 1
Muscat — Mutrah Souq Begin at Oman's atmospheric old souq — a labyrinth of frankincense, silver, and textiles beneath a vaulted ceiling. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque gleams white against the Hajar Mountains.
  2. 2
Qurum Beach — Al Bustan Muscat's coastal road passes golden beaches framed by dark volcanic rock. The Al Bustan Palace Hotel, built to host the 1985 GCC summit, sits at the base of a mountain amphitheater.
  3. 3
Bimmah Sinkhole A natural sinkhole 50 meters wide and 20 meters deep, filled with turquoise water. Limestone collapse created this swimming hole — locals call it Hawiyyat Najm, the "Falling Star Hole."
  4. 4
Wadi Shab One of Oman's most beautiful wadis. A boat crosses the turquoise pools to a trail that leads through narrow canyon walls to a hidden cave waterfall. The water is warm year-round.
  5. 5
Wadi Tiwi A series of emerald pools connected by the wadi stream, surrounded by date palms and banana plantations. Traditional Omani villages perch on the cliff edges above the gorge.
  6. 6
Fins Beach A pristine white sand beach backed by sandstone cliffs. The turquoise water of the Gulf of Oman is warm and calm. Sea turtles nest on the beaches along this coast between May and September.
  7. 7
Tiwi — Coastal Villages Fishing villages where traditional wooden dhows are still built by hand on the beach. The boat-building traditions here connect directly to the maritime culture that traded across the Indian Ocean for millennia.
  8. 8
Ras Al Hadd — Turtle Reserve One of the largest green turtle nesting sites in the Indian Ocean. Thousands of turtles come ashore to lay eggs between June and November. Night visits are permitted with licensed guides.
  9. 9
Sur — Dhow Yard The last traditional dhow-building yard in Arabia. Craftsmen build these ocean-going vessels using methods unchanged for centuries — wooden hulls stitched with coconut fiber before modern nails.
  10. 10
Sur Lighthouse The whitewashed lighthouse marks the entrance to the old port. Sur was Oman's great seafaring city — its dhows traded with East Africa, India, and China for over a thousand years.
