Paradas Neste Passeio (10)
- 1 Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort The unofficial headquarters of the Dragon. The resort's "Tree of Shame" is festooned with motorcycle parts from riders who didn't make it through unscathed.
- 2 Curve 1 — The Dragon Begins The first curves ease you in gently. Don't be fooled — the rhythm tightens quickly. Stay in your lane; oncoming traffic can appear without warning.
- 3 Gravity Cavity A series of dips and rises that unsettle both car and rider. The name says it all — the road plays tricks with momentum and weight transfer through here.
- 4 Copperhead Corner A deceptive decreasing-radius curve named for the venomous snakes found in the surrounding Nantahala National Forest. The pavement has claimed many bumpers here.
- 5 Brake or Bust Bend One of the Dragon's tightest switchbacks. Professional photographers station themselves here to capture the expressions of riders mid-lean.
- 6 Wheelie Hell A section where the rapid elevation changes can catch aggressive riders off-guard. The canopy of hardwoods creates a green tunnel through the Appalachian forest.
- 7 Beginner's End The curves become more intense beyond this point. Newer riders often stop here and turn back. The Dragon demands respect, not bravado.
- 8 Parsons Branch Road Junction A gravel road leads into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Dragon crosses the Tennessee-North Carolina state line multiple times through the gap.
- 9 Killboy Corner Named for the famous Dragon photographer who has captured hundreds of thousands of riders here. His shots have become legendary in motorcycle culture.
- 10 Tabcat Bridge — Dragon's Tail The Dragon releases you at Chilhowee Lake in Tennessee. If you survived all 318 curves, you can claim bragging rights at the resort on the return trip.
