이 투어의 정차 지점 (12)

  1. 1
Happy Isles Trailhead The journey begins at the valley floor. Half Dome demands respect — nearly 1,500 metres of climbing, a wilderness permit, and honest self-assessment of your fitness. Carry at least three litres of water. Bear canisters are mandatory. Cell signal fades within the first kilometre.
  2. 2
Vernal Fall Bridge The Merced River thunders below as you reach the first viewpoint of Vernal Fall. The granite walls channel mist that soaks the trail ahead — the Mist Trail lives up to its name.
  3. 3
Top of Vernal Fall Six hundred steps of wet granite deliver you to the brink of Vernal Fall. The Emerald Pool stretches before you, impossibly green against white granite. Pause here — the trail only gets steeper.
  4. 4
Nevada Fall Nevada Fall plunges 181 metres in a white curtain. John Muir called this stretch the most sublime spectacle in Yosemite. The granite staircase carved by the Civilian Conservation Corps is an engineering marvel.
  5. 5
Little Yosemite Valley The valley opens into a flat, forested respite. Black bears frequent this area — store food in bear boxes. This is your last reliable water source before the summit push.
  6. 6
Half Dome Sub-Dome Base The forest thins and bare granite appears. Ahead, the Sub-Dome rises steeply — a scramble over exposed rock with minimal shade. Leave No Trace principles matter deeply here; pack out everything you carry in.
  7. 7
Sub-Dome Shoulder You crest the Sub-Dome and Half Dome's sheer northeast face fills the sky. Rangers check permits here during peak season. The cables are visible above — two steel lines bolted into granite.
  8. 8
Half Dome Cable Base The cables stretch 120 metres up a 46-degree slope of polished granite. Gloves are essential — the steel cables will tear bare hands. Only ascend when dry. Lightning on this exposed face is lethal.
  9. 9
Half Dome Cable Midpoint Midway up the cables, resist the urge to look down. Wooden cross-planks provide footing every three metres. The exposure is severe — thousands of metres of air to the valley floor.
  10. 10
Half Dome Summit The summit plateau is the size of seventeen football fields. Yosemite Valley spreads 1,500 metres below. Clouds Rest, Tenaya Canyon, the High Sierra — the entire park radiates outward from where you stand.
  11. 11
Summit East Edge Viewpoint From the eastern rim, Tenaya Canyon drops away in vertical slabs. The curvature of Half Dome's overhanging face is visible from here — 600 metres of sheer granite, the steepest cliff in North America.
  12. 12
Return to Happy Isles The descent retraces your steps. Tired legs on wet granite demand focus. The last light through Yosemite Valley turns the granite walls amber — a fitting farewell from one of Earth's great landscapes.
